Our story began in the early 1970s when Mr. Dadimuni Siripala Silva founded Modern Chemicals (MC). Starting as a small trading venture, he grew into one of Sri Lanka’s largest importers of dry fish, onions, and potatoes. The next generation, led by Mr. Dadimuni Saminda Silva, expanded into pulses and lentils from Australia, Canada, and Argentina, transforming the company into M C Trading Company.
Today, the third generation continues this legacy — combining traditional values with modern trade practices to serve Sri Lanka with integrity and excellence.
